Why Your Attitude Matters

When it comes to achieving financial freedom, you need more than just a simple personal cash flow plan and the desire to make it work…you also need the right attitude about money.

What you’re about to read is something which the majority of people never consider when it comes to achieving financial freedom and creating wealth. However, it might just be the most important part of your plan for becoming financially independent and wealthy.

It Starts With an Attitude Check

When you think about people who are financially well off and wealthy, what are some of the first things that come to your mind?

Did you know any rich people when you were growing up? What was your attitude towards them? If you have any kind of negative feelings towards people who have money, or towards money itself, that could be the biggest obstacle to you becoming financially free, let alone wealthy. One of the primary reasons people remain broke is because of their desire to NOT be one of those “greedy rich people.”

Money does not have the capability of being moral or immoral; it simple magnifies the character of the person who is in possession of the money. If you have any concern about what money might “do to your personality” or to your relationships, it’s time to take a closer look at yourself and at the way in which you choose your relationships.

Whenever you have a negative attitude towards a certain group of people, your subconscious mind will do whatever it must to KEEP you from becoming one of those people. This is what causes people to sabotage their own success when it comes to pursuing wealth, better relationships, better health and just about every other thing in life.

Adjusting Your Attitude for Creating Financial Freedom

If you suspect that your attitude about money or about wealthy people might be getting in the way of you creating financial freedom, you can start to turn that around right now.

What you’ll need is a daily reminder of what your goals are when it comes to creating more financial freedom while also remaining a person of strong character. If you still have doubts, read “The Millionaire Next Door,” which has detailed accounts of what wealthy people are really like. You might be surprised to find that most of them are people of integrity and strong character.

Many times, envy causes people to discredit those who have achieved great things and people who achieve end up with a bad rap. Just think of the kid in school who did really well and was called a “nerd.”

Remember this, and remind yourself daily that you CAN create financial freedom and still be a person of good strong character.
